Two-Phase Treatment
Stage 1: Early treatment– This planning stage in treatment includes ages 2 to 6 years old and is focused on looking for underdeveloped dental arches, the premature loss of primary teeth, and harmful habits such as finger or thumb sucking. Most treatments during this period eliminate the need for future orthodontic and orthopedic care when initiated.
Stage 2: Mixed Dentition– Children ages 6-12 encompass this active area of treatment, having had their permanent incisors or front teeth and 6-year molars erupt. At this time, Quest Orthodontics, will target jaw mal-relationships and dental realignment concerns. This is generally the right time to start treatments as the child’s hard and soft tissues are highly responsive to any orthodontic work.
